PLA - sample kit

We will deliver 1 pcs of PLA material sample in randomly choosed color. The material sample is the 3D printed man shaped figure shown in the product image. In case you want to choose color, then please write a note under the Checkout process in the Comment field. Our available colors: red, blue, green, yellow, orange, white, black, grey.

PLA is an environmentally friendly, biodegradable thermoplastic material. PLA is made from bio materials like cornstarch, sugar cane, tapioca root or even potato starch which makes it biodegradable. PLA is available in most colors and may be translucent, wooden or metallic like. The layer bonding is very strong with PLA , however, the material itself is brittle and will break or crack if you drop it. Due to FDM 3D printing technology, stepping is visible and creates a coarse surface finish. If you need something for engineering purposes then we recommend a tougher material that might be more appropriate. So, PLA is recommended for decoration purposes or concept models to test the size, aesthetics and functionality of final design.
